Basic Information:
Yes, this is ThirdStyle's first [UN]Official Tournament. This tournament is unofficial unless the admins provide permission for this to be ThirdStyle's first official tournament. It's their call; I'm not going off on my own and claiming BS I can't hold on to.
This tournament is open to all players of all skill levels. In fact, newer players are encouraged to join. You'll be able to talk to players of your skill level and pick up tips from the top players. Plus people always gain experience quickly in tournaments; in old FFR tournaments, with the lower players, the winner was normally the player that got better faster, not the best player.
The tournament will be run using in-game songs from ThirdStyle, in the ThirdStyle engine.
This [UN]Official Tournament is being run by GHEZ119, kisler and xMUSICxMASTERx.
This tournament will have a bracketing system, bracket lists and information to be revealed with the first round. For those that are new to this, this means that players will be competing against other players that are around their skill level.
We have decided that this tournament will be league-based. Rounds will last 4 days; there are 10 rounds. Competing in all rounds is not mandatory, however, prizes will be awarded on a per-round basis and the amount of StylePoints you earn for participation will be dependent on how many rounds you compete in. Competing in every round will, also, give you a better chance of winning.
If you think you won't be able to compete in a certain round, then please PM GHEZ119, kisler and xMUSICxMASTERx and we will arrange something with you. This may be a late entry with a reduced timespan of 1 or 2 days or it may be an early entry; we're flexible.
This tournament will contain unorthodox rounds; while there will be some purely score-based rounds so the lower level players can improve over-all, part of the aim of this tournament (for us) is to encourage people to try and play ThirdStyle differently and with new targets. It's meant to be fun rather than the generic daily grind of AAA'ing or trying to improve your scores.
Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded in the form of StylePoints.
If anyone wishes to donate StylePoints (once V4N implements the gifting system), then please send them to GHEZ119 with a PM, wall post or forum post detailing that they are for the tournament.
All donations will be factored directly into the Prize Pot for the tournament.
Competitors will receive StylePoints merely for entry; you don't have to win to be in!

Please note that no StylePoints have technically been donated yet due to the feature not currently being implemented. Also note that ALL PRIZES WILL BE SENT IN FULL WHEN THE TOURNAMENT CLOSES.
CHEATING:
Cheating will not be tolerated.
All scores can and will be cross-referenced against your Latest Gameplays before we upload them to our spreadsheet.
A first offense of cheating will result in instant disqualification from the round.
A repeat offense will result in instant disqualification from the tournament.
