More Anamanaguchi - Fast Turtle Achievement!

Fast Turtles is a bit misleading in a name. Maybe 125bpm is fast for a turtle, but even still... half the song is at 3/4ths of that (94bpm). Either way, it's still a sweet 8bit chiptune track by NES masters Anamanaguchi.

How can you unlock this, you ask? Play and pass Blackout City on Easy and get less than 10 greats. No full combo needed.

Epic song, and I was second to unlock it! I'm also currently second on the Easy track with a 4-0-0-0

Damn these achievements are hard for people like me. My limit is 50 greats if I really get a really good run. It's not like I don't practice this and Stepmania everyday, going on 3 years now and I've only just switched to spread. -_- Guess I'm just not as awesome as all the pros with their hard difficulties and their AAAs. Probably the wrong thread for this but meh.

I actually think this achievement is way too hard for it too
originally I wanted it to be along the lines of 'pass blackout city with your a-mod at 1000 or higher', but apparently that couldn't happen?

Just like FFR, this site is extremely elitist with achievements.

sdg on an easy difficulty song is elitist? ;/

pretty cool file, fast turtles... up intill the slowdown, then it just becomes pretty insane (for me anyway).

They are called achievements for a reason. If they were all very easy to get, what would be the point in calling them achievements? It looks like you got all 3 of the easy ones. Now work on the medium ones. The more you practice, the better you'll get at this game. And this achievement isn't too hard, but I guess it is rated 'Medium'.

Ohhh you wound me! How about this ... What would be a reasonable achievement for your skill level? All players that post do generally play more often...

I was just saying more achievements for the whole community at least would be good.

I hear this is going to become a non-issue in the near future ;)

Since one of the aims of ThirdStyle is to basically be a better experience than FFR, shouldn't changing/improving this be something in ThirdStyle's best interests to do?
    Just throwing it out there.

As far as achievements go, ThirdStyle probably does beat FFR already for the "general public"; as it is. There's a handful of Easy achievements (I'd assume the majority of players could get Defeat Top Man, Heart Pumping and Copypasta Al Dente), the Medium achievements aren't really that bad when it comes down to it (Patience, Grasshopper and 666 Oranges are fairly easy for most players, I'd assume). Admittedly Turtle Power Plant should probably be a hard IMO and Mix Master Cut Faster takes a little practice but it's nothing deadly serious. Don't You Know I'm Loco? was annoying, but that and Turtle Power Plant do both have workarounds admittedly, those being that you can at least just miss notes you think you're likely to Good/Great, respectively and hit the ones you're sure will get you the achievement. Maybe if Gateway was less gimmicky, it'd be easier (make that a definite), but hey, that's what the fun is.

Count yourself lucky, even the most inexperienced players could probably get 5/8 (62.5%) of the achievements in a couple of hours, I reckon. The three Easy ones are trivial, Patience, Grasshopper is easier for players that have a hard time getting combos on that song and 666 Oranges is just mash. If you can't get the other three, just practice, practice, practice.

True, the achievements are spread out across difficulties spectacularly. Now all we need is more of them.
