when you say that beginner must be less than 2 "Notes Per Second" are you referring to combo or judgments?
Junior MemberOkay, Drugstore, I sent a message about permission. Just wanted to make sure you got it.
Also, I stepped a song that I would like to submit, assuming this artist gives permission. My question is whether or not I have to be exactly within 2 notes per second on beginner... I tried so hard to cut it down to nothing and I literally have about 12 notes in the song that aren't fourth notes going with the simple beat... I am currently at about 226 steps and the song is about 107 or so seconds.. I can cut more out, but I feel like it would subtract from the file... I just wanted to know if I needed to do it or not. I'm close, but I wouldn't want it auto rejected over that.
Also: The multiple files; do they need to be in different folders or something? Or can I just do the different difficulties on the sm file?

Simfileryou shouldn't use any jumps except LR or UD anyway, unless well telegraphed (example: tears light in DDR extreme is well telegraphed)

Music MakerI'd suggest someone go ask http://www.sociopath-recordings.com . Over 200 releases of various electronic music (Mostly IDM, Breakcore and chiptune) and they're ALL free, and almost all of them are CC licensed.
EDIT: Well, now that I think about it, it should be just alright to step without asking etc. seeing as they are mostly CC.
