Extreme lag messes up gameplay

I was trying TS in Opera 12 to see how the plug-in changes in this version affected performance. The lag spikes which annoyed me in previous versions appeared to be gone, well at least until I experienced this 5-10 second lag spike...
The game was of course frozen and while I expected to instantly fail once it continued, this didn't happen. The arrows didn't move anymore, but the percentage continued to fall rapidly. And it continued even after reaching 0%. It started reversing (most likely because of missing '-' texture) and at the end of the song it looked like this:

After the song ended it continued to the scoreboard without any "failed" message. Luckily it didn't somehow mess up my highscore:

However I don't think the song contained 3861 holds...

It's on easy... sure you can AAA it! ^_^

and it does appear TS is going through a lot of glitches atm, but this could have a variety of reasons, of which i'm not sure...

Are you running flash player 11.3 by chance? There's some major sound issues in the release (see http://forums.adobe.com/message/4490894 ). So the options are pretty much downgrade flash or wait for a fix.

This is why I never upgrade flash player, FP 9 and earlier 10 for the win.

No I was not. Secondly, the sound was working just fine so I don't get what you are trying to say here...

To clarify, it is not the lag that is the issue, it is how it was handled. I posted this mainly because it was hilarious though.
(The lag was most likely caused be another application, I always have tons of stuff open and I had been playing for at least half an hour without issues.)
