Part 2 of the massive update!

The following is a guest post by Halogen- and Saphira. You can view the first part of the massive update here!

(In?)famous speedcore/extratone artist Annoying Ringtone takes a large step back from the ridiculously intense, ear-splitting action of Extratone Pirates and returns with Hyperdisco. Taking samples from King of Disco (by Akcent), Hyperdisco is a very speedy (as if you expected different!?) rendition that adds a whole new level of energy to the song. Very familiar and confident with his charting abilities for this style of music, Housekeeper brings yet another difficult and memorable chart. At 250 BPM, this chart is difficult in some areas (like the barrage of 8th note jumps on Hard) or brutally difficult in others (like the very large, 16.66 tap per second 16th stream with jumps every beat... also on Hard). For those of you looking for an easier way to score well on this file - it’s not your lucky day. All difficulties of this song present an extreme challenge for your “average” player. Good luck scoring well on this, you will most certainly need it.

More ThirdStyle musicians continue to enter the game. Koshiyokoshi brings his third song into the game under his artist alias, TR3YS3N. Planet of the Chunes is a fusion of memorable 8-bit melodies mixed over some very clear and sharp percussion instruments, to create a feel that is a bit different than your normal 8-bit and techno song. The chart is relatively streamy, and is actually a bit more dense and technical than your typical DJzAIKz file. Planet of the Chunes is a store item, and can be purchased via the ThirdStyle store for 700 StylePoints.

Blitz Lunar has made a strong presence in rhythm gaming with his professional-sounding and mighty speedy 8-bit songs, and his first song on ThirdStyle fills those shoes perfectly. 12 Bar Bloops is a jazzy groove that brings some very strong powerful 8-bit percussion and complex melodies. At 150 BPM, the song runs at a moderate pace, and shouldn’t present a challenge. At least, that’s what you would think. In actuality, this chart is one of the more difficult Hard charts in game, presenting all sorts of funky patterns from rigid bursts to very fast 48th bursts and just about everything in between. STOP THAT!!!! To some, this will be a technical masterpiece; to others, a technical nightmare. Known for stepping songs with extreme technicality, Halogen- returns with yet another tough file.

We end the release post with a file from a brand new simfile artist -- congratulations to yoshl on getting his first file out into the public game. The song brought to the table is Revenge of the Plushophile, by Renard alias Kitsune^2. Immerse yourself in the cuteness and happiness of this very cheery, 160 BPM song... and then realize that revenge describes the file perfectly, as the file not only tricks you with a tough to detect slowdown, but replays the same melody at 150% speed. In addition to the song structure providing a challenge of its own, yoshl captures the melodies very accurately on both Medium and Hard, providing loads of stream (Medium) and even 12th note mini-jacks (Hard). Have fun!

    Happy keysmashing to all!
