Also in what way does the song need to be resynced? Is it because of how I cut it or something else?

Don't cut it like that. Whenever you do a cut you want to make sure the song still has the original opening and ending. What you want to do is look for a two spots in the song that are exactly the same and cut out the part in between them. I looked at the through the song and It seems to me the best cut points would be 1:40ish and 3:05ish. Here, after the voice fades out, you have an exact repeat. That's where you want to have your start and end point for the cut.

WROOOOOOONG. (Not at all wrong, but George doesn't have to do it your way.) By cutting out that part, you miss two rather interesting variations in the track: the instrument that comes in at 1:55, and the section that starts at 2:19. The part you want to keep is identical to 0:25.

George, I like that cut point. Perhaps actually make it 2:59, but only step up to 2:55 so the song ends with the voices, rather than abruptly or with a fade-out.
