You read the thread title correctly fellow FFYa'er!
I've been planning this event for about a month now, talking with respective members of FFYa and ThirdStyle here who I know live in the East Coast and are willing to go, and have come up with the following events that I think everyone would like!
DETAILS:
General Location:
Philadelphia, PA. Near JPL International Airport.
Date:
June 9th, June 10th, or both.
Time:
All day! Drive early if you're far away; I would like to have people showing up around 10 am-Lunch.
Late morning/Lunch/Early Afternoon:
Fairmount Park
State Park. It's huge! There's the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a "Water Works" area, trees, big open fields...
You get it. Summer games and ultimate frisbee anyone?
Late Afternoon:
This is pretty much a "your own time" block. The park may take up a good chunk of the day, and I don't want to things to be hectic and rushed, especially if people are enjoying the park. Take this time to visit the Plaza nearby if you want; change your clothes and freshen up, chill out in your hotel, etc.
Dinner/Night time:
1900 at Dave&Busters will be our dinner time! If you've never been to d&b, it's an adult diner that has an arcade area attached to it. It's ChuckECheese with adult quality food, games, and less pedophiles. After dinner, JFK Plaza - along with the rest of Philly - is yours to explore!

VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE AND NOT SKIP OVER:
-Pack accordingly! Realize the you will be out here for most of the day (or two) and would probably want a few extra changes of clothing. If you plan in participating in some summer games, have comfortable summer wear and running shoes. If you plan to go out at night, look good. Just sayin'
-Sunscreen and hydration. Related to above; it's hot, make sure you stay hydrated, have proper eyewear, etc.
-Money. Look, most of us are now in college or post-college years but there are some of us that are having it a bit harder than most, or are just still not financially independent due to circumstances out of their control. With that said, if your limiting factor is money, I won't hesitate to help you out if that's the primary reason you can't come to this meetup. I've allotted a good chunk of money for this meet-up so that everyone EC can have a good time and I don't want anyone to miss out!
-Distance. Philly is far for some people (Boston, VA) but it is the most equidistant location on the East Coast for everyone I've spoken thus far. If you don't think you can make it out here by yourself, I'm sure some FFYa'ers or TSers would be willing to carpool to help =)
-Where are we sleeping? Some of you are close enough to just go back home, while other have to look forward to a 6 hour drive. I'll probably be checked into a hotel somewhere with adequate space for some people, but make sure you have a safe place to lay your head at night. No shame in sleeping in your car - I've done it plenty of times.
Note: If anyone lives in the local area and would be willing to give up there house for a late night chillax let me know in this thread please!!
-I plan to go clubbing (preferably raving) once I get more information from friends of friends after our dinner at D&B. If this is your scene, feel free to come along, but make sure you have a wing[wo]man with you or just don't stray far from our crowd if you don't feel safe.
-Note that I won't have a US cellphone until I actually come into country (June 8th), so contacting me via my old phone number you have, won't work. Facebook is preferred, email (litodude@ymail.com) is secondary.
-Everything is contingent up until about 2 weeks to our event date. The only thing I have set solid into stone is that I'm taking vacation. Know this, so that if something unexpected arises you wouldn't feel disappointed or left out that something didn't fall through our plans.
tl;dr: no, go read it.

-US cellphone acquisition
-Compile list of willing drivers/carpoolers and location
-Finalize whether 1 day or 2 day event (poll)
If you can help with any of the above things needed done, primarily food and stuff for the picnic and mentioning that you're willing to carpool in the thread, that would be MUCH appreciated. I'll compile a list of people I know willing to go and/or carpool/bring stuff.
