    Cheated scores thread

All of no names scores - hmmm
Personally, i would remove all of Josemba, Legenb's scores because of multiple hacked scores, instead of just resetting those specific scores, for punishment. they haven't played since so i doubt they will care anyway.
for Brutal000435, he actually is a very good player, saffron city is his only hacked score i think
    godblast is on first strike!
as minisora is still active, i would just give him a warning and clean his hacked scores.

Update: i'll work through hard song and say witch scores need removing
    Saffron city - Brutal0004356, Josemba, Legenb, godblast227, dossar(lojk)
Ultimate diss - noname, quackies(lolnicehaxnicole) (may be others, can't only see top 3 in game)
    Tribal riddems - Josemba, Legenb
    Manhe - Vipjanuary
    /Mu/tant Corecore - Vipjanuary, Josebma
    Speedcore 300 - noname, minisora
    is so fun - noname
    Kidney stone - minisora
    12 Bar Bloops - minisora

You can see where he has cheated, he got 92.3 on saffron, then a miraculous 99.2%

it's a omg i can't do this, /slow. that's the only big way to detect apart from isk's script to detect them.

+1 again from me. A first offense could be an instant blacklist, but not ban-worthy. But continued instances in which scores need removal probably justifies an account ban and permanent marker on the list.

why shouldent a first time offence be ban worthy? they knew it was cheating when they done it, its not like they could have been unsure or whatever. it should be an instant ban imo.

My vote still stands on blacklists. Bans should be for serious cases of abusive cheating. Abusive meaning like over 3 or 5 songs and they hack to become top player.

But it's good to have other opinions into this.

I think they should be banned. Do you think that they would slow down the game for better scores thinking it was NOT cheating? How stupid do you think they are?

There is no excuse for cheating at all. BAN THEM.

I always viewed bans as for site related stuff. I'm definitely more in support of a warning system of some sort, where like, a 1st offense will blacklist you and you'll be checked on any suspicious scores and always have that "black mark". It could be possible that Pat's difficulty algorithm would be useful for tying in with that too, due to strength and whatnot.

Plus there aren't really any guidelines to be found on the site. +1 for blacklisting, +1 for bans for multiple offenses.

Warning system = You're allowed to cheat until you get caught. After you've been caught you're not allowed to cheat again.

What's the point of the first chance?

We have naive 13 year old players on here, and older players with the mindset of children. Everyone's wanted to cheat at one point. It's why we give warnings to minors to who challenge the rules/laws to straighten them. Even warnings to some adults for first offenses.

You act as if cheating is a felony. It's a stupid act of childishness at most. But I've been there before, i've cheated on a site flash game before just to see what it was like to get perfect ratings on all my submitted songs, and I got caught. I was not banned and im thankful for that because I loved the game, and i was left with a warning and profile status swiped clean. I haven't cheated since. But still thankful i was able to continue playing the game.

Blacklisting would invalidate their scoring privileges, yet still allow them to play the game with disabled scoring and chat with everyone. Which would presumably invalidate the slow-down scores they get if they continue to hack regardless, and that's everyone's argument. This thread was not made because of the hacking alone. It was because the score takes away someone's chances for a top spot and affects the stats of the other players when the hacker never obtained the score fairly. (If someone hacked to get a rainbow name, people would not be complaining. obviously) So, if its the hacked score on a leaderboard that's the problem, why are you all so against a blacklisting, when it only enforces the fact that the cheated scores will be invalidated and they will be unable to obtain leaderboard privileges.

EDIT: I love how DTD_ass is against a warning system when he himself was given one when he could've easily been banned. This is funny.

    Spoiler!

    I'd complain like ****, why don't I get one? D:

But yeah, what Shaun said sums it up, a first warning is enough to discourage you from doing it again; often it's just a one-time thing because you're being stupid or want to try it. (as it was with Brutal.) Brutal's first Saffron score was sick, he just wanted to try that slow-down because other JamLegend players were using it too. Presumably he'll pay for it and that's that. Why instantly ban him just for one stupid mistake?
