Unexpected Retirement. o.0;

So this is pretty unexpected, but I am, for now, retiring.

I've devoted too much time to the social aspects of this site and it was becoming obsessive, so until I feel I can enjoy the game in moderation I won't be returning. :B When I do, it'll be on a different account without using chat or video chat, just playing the game and possibly browsing the forums. And it'll probably be in a couple of months, at least. o.0;

About the tournament: Amy and kisler will manage it fine, I'm sure, they have everything they need. I'm sorry I have to bail on you guys, but I can't keep going like this. ._. Even if they don't finish it, put Pat's files in game, they're amazing.

If I finish up any charts, I might e-mail 'em over but I won't be coming round to play them.

That's it, I guess, gonna get someone in the family to change the password of this to something retarded and not tell me it. Unless an admin wants to delete my account or whatever, that'd work.

I achieved stuff here, but I valued it too highly, I shouldn't have. Amy simfilers wanna toss files my way, feel free, I'll test 'em in SM. ;o

I guess if you have an addiction, that's one thing. But you're supposed to play and spend time on things you enjoy. That's how life is. Where's the fun in removing all fun in your life? If you learn to control your playing, you can stay, chat and play all in moderation. Did you think what your next 'addiction' would be? You're going to spend time on that as well. I know your girlfriend sees you play a lot and says your addicted, but as long as you have time for her, it shouldn't matter. She should want you to do what you love doing. You should continue to do what you love doing.

But if I didn't change your mind, I guess I'll see you when you come back around... They always do ;D

and DrugstoreCowboy... 'Very lame.' If you'd have known what this site has done to our relationship over the past few weeks. You'd understand. He is doing this for me. For us. He understands why he has to do it. I think what's lame is the fact everyone seems to think he HAS to stay. He has a life. Yeah, he does enjoy doing it. I didn't STOP him from using this. He made the decision himself. So I'd not judge what he is doing and just let him do it. Thanks.

Like I said, its clear he has an addiction and if he can't manage to separate internet life with real life, then it is best for him to go. I just know how much he enjoys this community and the game itself, so I was voicing my opinion. All I know is that my girlfriends can make me happy and give me a reason to leave my gaming addiction. I think we are all trying to say that we cared very much for you here. You are intelligent, thoughtful, and you have been a big part of the community in all of our eyes. We are all sad to see you go. I'm sure everyone else can say so as well.

No one would be making a big fuss out of this if we didn't care.

However I am disappointed with the lack of understanding portrayed by a couple individuals so far. Ghez cares about us enough to write an explanation for his leaving. The least we can do is understand that Ghez is telling us he needs to take a break from online communities and sort his life out. We don't need to drag anyone else in his personal life in on this discussion.

Thanks awein999. You're right. and George will tell you himself I never once told him to make this decision. He just came out and told me one day he was quitting. For personal reasons. and our relationship is a lot happier and less stressful now. We have more time for us and less time of him having games on his mind. Like he said... He might be back in a few months. But not on the cam or chat thing. Just playing the game. He'll also be on a different account.
