to be honest, these are all terribly defined problems, with the exception of the first. You shouldn't ever come across something like that outside of this type of thing or if your teacher is cruel. It should always be very clear what order to do things in without relying on the reader understanding to go left to right.

very true. first was probably the most common, as it could actually be application of a formula or definition. rest are "thought required" and could be rewritten more clearly

ok normally these are stupid ambiguous problems (e.g. multiplication and division priority is ambiguous esp. with regard to implied and using the symbol) but this one only has one answer unless you're using an old calcualtor or something

Second 2(12)=24

48/24 = 2

The solution is 2


2. 62(1+2)

First 6/2(3)

second 6/6

Solution is 1

Both of those answers are incorrect. For the multiplication to go before the division, the entire denominator needs to be bracketed.

Loool. We actually had to discuss this in calculus because some people didn't understand how it's undefined. A bunch of people STILL don't understand indeterminate forms in that class, which was how this discussion first came up.

Yeah, but barely. AP doesn't test complex analysis to my knowledge, so we don't bother.
