View Full Version : Strictly speaking not a bug, but still...

I'm not sure if I even should, but I normally play the game by loading the swf file in a browser directly, so I can fullscreen it easier than using the zoom things and so the browser doesn't have to render a page around the flash object which could be a performance penalty. It sure as hell was on FFR.

Anyway, I just tried to play the game that way, and the levels wouldn't load. Loaded up a sniffer to see why, and it turns out it's trying to load files in /game/files/game/files, which obviously don't exist. So the player is suddenly using relative paths for some files. Like the title says, it's not really a bug, just not very nice imo.

On a sort of related note, the game doesn't load at all when running it on the 3rdstyle.com domain. Could be a bit confusing for people who're going here for the first time after hearing about it.

Can you manually force it to load from '/game/files' instead of 'game/files/game/files?'

Well, I can think of a couple of ways, but they involve either hacking into the game or into the internet connection between the game and the server. They're hardly worth the effort though, since you can just zoom in on the play page in this case. Also, the same methods can probably be used for cheating I'd rather not post about them.

I'm assuming it's not meant to be played that way so I'd say just zoom in instead. Play it safe haha
