Nope, Google Translate really makes a mess of grammatical construction. It will even sometimes translate words differently than the original author intended, based solely on its guesses at the frequency in occurrence of each translated word. On one particular occasion, when getting it to translate German for me, I got "truffle" in a paragraph talking about burnt buildings.
